Meet the new Student-Council Members of 2023-2024

This is the Part I of the series “Get to Know Your Student Council”

Future Leaders Elementary is proud to introduce the new student-council members who were elected by their peers to represent them and make a difference in our school community. These young leaders have big plans and bright ideas for the upcoming year, and they are eager to share them with you. Let’s get to know some of them better, shall we?

Anton, a new student-council president from 4th grade
Anton is one of the new grade-level presidents representing 4th grade students

First up, we have the 4th grade president of the student council, Anton. Anton is a fourth-grader who loves leadership and science. He ran for president with the slogan “Anton is Anti-boredom!” and promised to bring more fun, more learning, and more opportunities to the students. He says his role model is big brother, because he is “smart, kind, and cool”. Anton’s dream is to get a drum set, but he is worried that his neighbors would “not like him anymore”.

Fernanda, a fourth-grade vice president, is inspired by her big sister

Next, let us present to you the 4th grade vice president, Fernanda. Fernanda is a fourth-grader who enjoys music, art, and math. She ran for vice president with the slogan “Fernanda or Nothing Less!” and promised to reduce waste, bullying, and boredom in the school. She says her role model is her sister, because she “won a lot of awards when she went to school, and now lives in her own big house”. Fernanda’s favorite pun is: “What do you call a pig that knows karate? A pork chop!”

Jean, a new secretary, was recently highlighted during morning announcements for his leadership

Finally, another Future Leader now serving as one of the secretaries is Jean. Jean is a fourth-grader who likes writing, drawing, and video-making and recording. He ran for secretary with the slogan “Jean the Dean!” and promised to add more flavor, color, and excitement to the school activities. He says he is inspired by the game Cuphead, because it is about “brave, inspiring characters and is set in the 1930s”. Jean’s favorite pun is: “You got to be Kitten me!”

There are many more student-council members and we will share their stories with you in the upcoming weeks. As you can see, these student-council members are not only talented and passionate, but also funny and friendly. They are ready to lead by example and make our school a better place for everyone. By enrolling in student government, they have shown their commitment to developing their leadership skills and serving their fellow students. They have also learned valuable lessons about teamwork, communication, and responsibility. They are truly the future leaders of Future Leaders Elementary!

Congratulations to our young leaders! We wish them all the best in their roles and look forward to hearing more from them in the future. Stay tuned for more updates on the school blog!
